LMS Stanier Jubilee class 4-6-0 - 45710 "Irresistible"

18/05/1964 - Whit Monday morning was always a busy day for steam specials, some diverted around the East Lancs loop line due to congestion and others excursions picking up from Great Harwood station. Even more so when it was a "namer" this one being an LMS Stanier Jubilee class 4-6-0 - 45710 "Irresistible" on a seaside excursion.
This engine looks to be in a filthy condition and was based at Newton Heath sheds in Manchester for most of its working life - it was withdrawn from service a month later to be scr
