In all my years taking pictures at Galas and also lineside have I known such heavy and constant rain throughout the day spoiling what would have been a fantastic last day of a rail gala.

I hope this doesnt put off the "Betton Grange" group from having a SSSIV in a couple of years time !!

At this point I had retreated to my car and spent most of the day at this location only getting out when a train came into sight.

Normally I would add what service it was but by now the trains were running very late and even some cancellations due to the weather conditions.
